Experiences:
Joan has worked in various private practice settings and with community groups in Sydney
CBD and Inner West area. Through her practice, Joan focuses on helping others optimise their health
by meeting them where they are and creating an individualised plan that is specific to their needs.
Joan is passionate about all things wellness and teaches her clients the basic of good nutrition and
develop intuitive eating skills that improve behaviour with food. She believes in a personalised
approach and treats each patient as an individual with their own experiences, beliefs and values.
Working within Chronic Disease Management, Joan has a special interest in diabetes and
weight management. Joan also uses innovative approaches and resources to work with clients with
other conditions, such as high cholesterol, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Inflammation Bowel Disease,
reflux, malnutrition, paediatric nutrition and much more.
Understanding and valuing cultural diversity when engaging with clients, Joan can provide
supportto diversify options on the basis of ethnic,religious and cultural preferences. In addition, being
multilingual, Joan is able to provide nutrition consultation in English and Indonesian.
Clients who have a GP referral with a Chronic Disease Management Plan for dietitian visits will
be eligible for full Medicare rebate. Private health funds rebate are also be eligible (please check with
your health funds provider).
